Corporate History

Foundation of a small wire mattress production by the mechanical engineer Günther Bachmann together with his wife Käthe after the expulsion from Silesia.

After the early death of Käthe Bachmann, her son Peter Bachmann takes over the business and continues the production of wire mattresses and upholstered frames. A few years later, slatted frames came into fashion and were immediately added to the product range.

After the construction of a factory hall on a greenfield site - the current location - the production of a new collection of wooden garden furniture as a second product line begins in addition to the slatted frame production.

Despite the addition of a new production hall, the production of garden furniture is discontinued due to the strong expansion of slatted frames and the focus is placed entirely on the further development of slatted frames.

In addition to the production of simple slatted frames for the furniture industry, very high-quality slatted frames are increasingly being produced for renowned mattress manufacturers and special slatted frames for the caravan industry are being developed.
